Technosquare usually raises the RPM redline from 7600 to 7800 rpm. I don't think they'd go over 8000rpm unless you specifically told them to. Personally I wouldn't raise it above stock redline. I think it's high enough with stock valvetrain, but that's just me.

if you look at the article here it looks like it shows it going past 8000...
if there is more usable power to be had and its safe to do i see no reason why it couldnt be raise.
i hope someone that tunes can chime in here with there knowledge and let me know

My tuner set my throttle limit at 8K and fuel cutoff at 8150.
Manufactures spec and tune their cars for reliability, they don't want a car getting a rep for braking down, that can kill sales so they're rather conservative.
When you exceed the specs you're increasing your risk of failure for the benefits of performance. You can manage that risk somewhat however by increasing your maintenance schedule. You run it hard maintain it hard. In the end though the more stress you put on it, the shorter your mean time between failure.
For street drivng I'd say the risk is pretty minimal. Thanks to traffic in my area I probably spend less then 6 seconds a week at 8K considering I'm there for less then a half second. WOT is reserved for on ramps and highway passing mostly. Reality is I rarely need WOT to get my G-force fix anyway.
