G37 7speed transmission reprogram
#2626
I have a 2013 G37 with 107536 miles on the ODO... "Service Engine Soon" warning light on 21 June. I brought it to a reputable mechanic and paid $110 diagnostic, they came up with a code P0710 that is translated as a 'transmission fluid temperature sensor' code.
Everything seemed OK and nothing noticeable. I drove it a few days until I could get it to the shop, no issues. The routine transmission service added another $300 and paid another $160 to reprogram Transmission Control Unit.
Is this typical?

AutoZone would have checked the light for free

2010 g37x 7speed
Has anybody figured out this transmission issue!? It’s gotta be software related because mine started doing all this weird stuff slipping into 4th /banging into 5th acting lost/ confused and this happened after I did a pull it’s on video. I was in 3rd gear went to downshift into 2nd dash gear said it went into 2nd but trans stayed in 3rd gear whatever kept doing the pull I went outta manual mode back to D then DS again while doing the pull but did not shift itself had to pull over restart car after that she was lost and starting slipping/ acting funny I have no idea wtf. This is my 2nd g37 to have this issue sold the last one because it got so bad it destroyed the other transmission…
