I'm planning on running it through the gas tank and later the engine oil when I'm ready for a change. Anyone done this? How about sucking it in through a vacuum hose? Did that on the vette and cleaned out a bunch of crap.

 

Yes I have in the G. Fuel tank and vacuum hose, not in crank case yet. Thanks for reminding me, I'm about to change the oil so I need to run it. Good results.

 

That's what I figured but wanted to double check. Coming from small block Chevy's and diesels these fancy engines scare me LOL

It magically gives any car an extra 50 HP!

It's just a petroleum based cleaner that cleans and lubricates the fuel system (when poured in the tank), engine top end (when sucked through and appropriate vacuum hose), and engine internals (when poured directly into the crank case). It can also be used to safely clean the throttle bodies. It has not solvents and no undesirable effects of solvent based products.

And it makes really cool thick noxious smoke billow out of your tailpipe when you suck it into your upper cylinders.

 

50 mpg sounds acheivable. I'll check it out when my G comes out of hibernation in the spring.

 

lol he was kidding. but yes it does make a difference. I've used it on a lot of older cars. gets you better idle and acceleration.

 

Just in case anyone missed my obvious (so I thought) sarcasm, I was indeed joking about adding 50 HP. Here's the sarcasm smiley to prove it:

It does however lower your coefficient of drag significantly, hardens the soft clear coat, fixes excessive negative camber, and brings low end torque up to neck snapping levels.

 

Incredible - 50hp and 50 mpg!!!! And yes, I will give it a try next spring. Are your grounding cables required to get these results?

 

Not required, but they absolutely will double the gains listed above.

Got some in the tank now. Before the next oil change I'll fog the engine and run some through the crank case and then I'm gonna put a catch can on it.

 

Somewhere in the owner's manual it says not to add any additives to the fuel system. I've used seafoam in my last car, but haven't in the G.

 

Manuals always say that. Your not gonna hurt anything. I drove 365 miles today with seafoam in the tank and made a few 70-120 runs with no issues. It's actually running and sounding better than it has in a while.

 

Is it not sucked up through the brake booster line anymore to clean the top?
