I rembered I read somewhere that Nissan claims GTR is 0.2sec on full throttle, and G37 is 0.5 on 7AT.

Depends on which gear, my 1-2 are quite sluggish but 2-3 and 3-4 sometimes manage to put a smile on my face

Just for comparison, how fast can one shift a manual? I would guess about half a second if you're fast.

This makes me happy to hear. I though it was only MY G37. Exact same response.

I have a Trans-go kit about to be installed. I can't wait to have it be firmer and faster in all of them, especially 1-2 (5-speed).

With my 5 AT in DS mode, I find that the 1-2 shift is pretty quick. Quick enough to give you a quick jerk when it shifts into 2 and chirp the tires. Gears 2-3 arent as torquey feeling as the 1-2 shift is but is sufficient enough to keep rpms within power band without the car slowing down. Gears 4-5...well ive never got into 5th gear during wot, so i cant really say.

+1 on the slow 1-2 shifts (2008 S with 5AT). If I am in manual mode and don't time the shift a good bit below redline then I get into the rev limiter during the shift! Le us know how the Trans-go kit performs.

I don't think so. A fast shift is as quick as I can smash the clutch and release. A regular shift doesn't take more than a second.
