Actually, there are dyno's floating around showing intakes LOSING power on the G37. The stock intakes were designed pretty well for a stock system so there is not that much HP to be made. And Im not a pessimist, Im a realist who looks at empirical data. Even the best designed TRUE CAI systems make maybe 15whp.
Post dyno runs with before and afters done on the same day, same conditions, with multiple runs showing a 10 hp gain and I'll gladly eat my words.
Also, are you familiar with dyno variance? Any car can easily show a 10 whp difference from one run to another given numerous variables. I can do a pull on my car and put on a sticker and the second pull shows 10 hp higher. So I guess that sticker gave me 10 whp.
I guess if you are happy with the sound, then thats all that matters. But Im very skeptical that these actually make power. I would bet that they dyno just like every other SRI out there for the car and are for sound purposes only.
