I didn't have to remove the wheel/air bag. You can just turn the wheel all the way to the left and to the right in order to install these shifters.
You mean you didn't disconnect the battery? When you turn the wheel all the way, your ignition is on right?

I know guys with paddle shifters, they aren't to happy with it. Save your money, there's no added benefit other than esthetics.

I love driving manual. However, I had to get automatic because Wife + Manual = Road Hazard. After 6+ months of driving automatic, my hands are very itchy to shift gears myself. I'm aware its not the same as driving a manual, but it is the closet thing.

Thanks for the reminder anyway.

Well... Mine was pre-wired for sure, can't tell for 100% other G37x's on the roads out there.

I didn't disconnect the battery, correct. I turned the wheel to the left to install left shifter, shut down the car and installed it. Then did the same for the right one. Pretty straight forward.

I am so glad that this is availiable..quick question to those with the paddle shifters..do they seem to get in the way of the wiper/turn signals?

No they don't. You don't even notice they're there if you don't use them.
