Like others have already stated, definitely not normal. I would have take the G to the dealer the first time this incident occurred.

My g did it a few times during the winter. At first it was the battery. Then i replaced it with a brand new one. The thing is it always did it after taking the car for a 5-10min spin and let it cool of for about 5-10 min while taking some stuff at the grocery store. Sadly, i was never able to duplicate the problem at my dealership and it never did it again. I read on the previous post about the bad valve timing but the dealer said that if they cannot duplicate the problem the can't do nothing!
