hard shifting question

Hi,
Just a quick question. I have a 09 g37x sedan. I do not often post here, but I do read a lot. I am writing about the hard shifting question. In the year that I have owned the car I have not noticed the hard down shifting to be a problem, but this weekend I was driving in the DS mode ( something that I do not do that often). It was a blast by the way. Anyway in this mode I did notice the very aggressive down shifting when I let off the gas. Although I had fun, If I were to use this driving mode all the time it would become tiresome. Is this what everyone is talking about?

Thanks for the comments.

i enjoy the automatic downshifting with the tranny. the problems i have noticed are is the extra rpm flare while in D when the trans shifts from 3rd to 4th at lower rpms. also i have noticed jerky upshifts while driving slow 15-25 mph. i dont have any issues with the automatic downshifting.

I have noticed the same thing while in D on my 2011. It doesnt happen in DS. It is a very rough downshift from third. A pain when in traffic.

Yet another Thread and numerous posts about this Freakin...7 speed AT. I feelm it in other company cars that I drive (i've posted elsewhere), 2010 Ford Fusion with a 6 AT, 09 G37X loaners, 2010 Ford Tauraus, BUT not as bad as the 2010 G37X that I have. When is Infiniti going to get the message - You need to issue an ECU/Drivetrain FIX - Reflash whatever...

Another member keeps mentioning about a TSB issue for a Reflash of the ECU called a "B" reflash. My Dealer at Pepe infiniti, White Plains, NY who has been right on with this stuff with my 2007 and now with my 2010, doesn't know of a B reflash. Please fill mem in. Other than this 7 AT jerky performing tranny, the car is fantastic. Oh Yeah, in the same sentence, it should be noted that with the jerky tranny, goes the Hesitation when you step on it .....That's a Throttle schematic adjustment that infiniti uses to correct the WOT sudden thrust that I so enjoyed in my 2007.

Yup…my dealer said the same thing….they've never heard of the "B" reflash. In the other thread I asked the OP if his service paperwork had any details regarding exactly what was done. If this new "B" program really does exist, it'd be nice to walk in with the details of exactly what was done (ie…if he could scan in the relevant portion of the service paperwork). Oh..and about the hesitation… Yeah…that's annoying as helll. When my 2010 was in for service earlier this week I had an 09 loaner which was WAY smoother to drive than my '10 and was much more responsive off the line.

da Mayor: I wrote to you once before. I believe my cousin Tony works for Massapequa Infiniti? Can you confirm that??. THX

On the other note, You have piqued everybody's interest in this new REFLASH B that has been brandied about here on this forum. We Need more info. Just yesterday, I took my 2010 G37X for long ride. Man, It just does NT perform like my 2007 G35X did. Just too much lag when you step on it, and that jerkiness on the tranny at low speeds just plain SUX....Hoping that this reflash does the trick. I work in Long Island now. maybe i should bring my 2010 G37X to you guys !!! Also interested in a price for the Illuminated Kickplates, and the enhanced interior illumination accessory ??

that's like someone asking if you knew the time, and you reply YES without telling them what time it was.
