OS Giken Clutch - Normal?
I recently installed an OS Giken twin plate in my G, and had some crazy rattling noises that were not normal. I think we have it traced down to a faulty CSC. While the clutch is out, we took it apart and noticed some hot spots on the friction plates. Does anybody know if this is normal? The clutch has about 100 miles on it and I was babying it - but not slipping the clutch either. Also there is no warpage on the plates at all.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I don't know about the spots but our OEM CSC is horrible. There's a metal version that just hit the market. The next time I have to go into the transmission for anything, this one is going on. If it had been ready just a little earlier I'd already have it but it was in testing when my OEM clutch went out at 60K.

Got a hold of Mark at OS Giken and sent him the pics - said it was completley normal. Also talked to Zspeed and ordered their CSC - comes in Friday!
Thanks for the heads up - I will post up some install pics and impressions once I get it installed.
