new engine....odometer?

new engine....odometer?

hey everyone...

nissan is replacing my engine....just wondering what happens with odomoter....will it be reset to zero?

No, they will not.
My motor has the same odo reading, motor replaced 2k ago.

you got it......oil consumption....and lots of it!

risky guy, i take it so far so good? probably too early to say....

^ it seems ok. Mine wasn't consumption. Problem.
my motor was shipped back to factory.
dealer did the teardown & got the ok.
wish It wasn't replaced but hey,thats what warranty is for.

no codes in ecu & no real answer of what happened.
it wasn't oil consuption, all oil was at full level.
personally think it was a bad cylinder.
I had a misfire on cyl 5. A month or 2 before it went.

How much oil were you burning through in what period?

between every 6000 km (3700 mile) oil change interval i would be putting in about 3 litres (>3 quarts) of my own oil.

no drips on the driveway....definately being burned/consumed. lots of carbon build up on tail pipes (excessive).

i had car since new....broke it in properly....always used recommended ester oil (because i too had the famous "ticking valve" sounds....currently have 35000 kms on car.

im actually real curious to see if that noise disappears with the new small engine....!
