Custom dyno tuning to improve gas mileage? Possibly make more power as well?
In the Corvette world, we can have our Corvettes custom tuned on a dyno by a professional to improve BOTH the mileage AND the performance.
We ALWAYS want more power,
but I can live with current performance of my G35x sedan because it's just my daily driver.
BUT, the 15mpg average mileage after 36,000 is HORRIBLE and I would like to improve it.
I am considering upgrading to a G37x, and I would like to know the tuning options available for a 09+ G37x sedans.
Thanks for any info.

If you're used to a tuned vette don't expect a G37x to manage putting a smile on your face

There are pros and cons to everything, even cars.
And, there is a time and place for everything.
With that said, even a dream car may actually turn out to be a nightmare when you try to make it a daily driver.
As an owner of multiple 9 second toys, and driving SUVs and sedans daily, I can say I the G35x is one of the BEST daily drivers on the market in my opinion.

Yes.. as a daily driver you can't beat those. Question is, do you really want to mod and tune a daily driver?
Your money's better spent on the vette in my opinion haha

Unfortunately, because we have no control over timing, tuning options are very limited.
You could always lean out the mixture, if your tuner is good, to get a little more power and MPG, at the cost of running hotter. The VQ37 already runs hot, so you'll need to be careful
With vette experience, you already know that vettes are rather unique in that they offer both excellent MPG and power (but not at the same time of course).
Have you considered other factors? Conditions? Tire pressure/type?

If you are considering upgrading to a 37 why get an x? My G37 RWD regularly gets on avg 26 mpg with about 70% hwy. You might want a bit more of a tradenoff if you want more mpg.

If I wanted a RWD sedan, I would buy a Cadillac CTS-V.
