Review Stillen Stage 1 Turn key SC

CARB = California Air Resources Board. They may have something in CT as well, but CARB certification would be useless because it's only for the state of Cali.
Forget the dyno numbers for a second. How does it feel?

what gear was it dyno'd on? like people have said....no baseline. at this point a trip to the drag strip maybe more of a better indicator than a dyno with no baseline. even though, it's still around 50whp more than vortech'd DE 350zs made which claimed 412hp at the fly.

Excellent question.. the difference between stock and supercharged is a NIGHT AND DAY difference.. lol
Dynos are different, numbers are different, cars are different.. but this kit transforms the car into something else.
And there is plenty of room in the kit to chase higher horsepower numbers, this is the bolt-on kit..

We just cruised 12 G's up there for the show this past weekend and had a blast. Drove 2222 and a couple of other twisties.
There's this coming up weekend after next in Houston:

There's a cupcake meet in Dallas on 7/10 (same day as the meet in Houston):
CCM 7 | July 10th, 2010 | Dallas, Texas
I'll keep my ears open and PM you if I hear of anything coming up down this way.

Actually we've had many the internal talks within STILLEN, with a little concern to inform supercharger owners to consider taking some driving courses, so they can get familiar with more advanced driving situations.
At ~375-430whp.. that's significantly more power than most have had under their control, and can get you into trouble quickly if not prepared.
That being said.. IF prepared.. what a ridiculously fun ride.

^ I like em and i bet its a ton of fun to drive. So with the 5AT and the 7AT done. I havent seen a 6 speed manual done but then i dont know how the manual gearing changes from 08-09-10 or was that the first one you did at Stillen?

I'm a believer that dyno numbers do not always matter... if it is fun to drive, and you can feel its fast, then what else really matters? Congrats Whiddles, and perhaps you may see some extra power squeezed out of that super charger from UPREV.

Guys! Forget about the numbers. This thing is so fun to drive. I opened it up this morning and man I tell you, I'm losing traction throughout 1st to 3rd gear. My slip light kept turning on when I'm going into boost. Numbers will always vary from car to car bases, what mods you have etc.

^spot on. it's not just about the numbers!!
you also have to remember that each dyno will read differently...two dynos could be as much as 30-40 hp difference depending on how low/high they read.
have fun driving the car, that's what matters. when you get into a pure track car, then start worrying about every HP/TQ you can squeeze out of it
