gsm, have my new 2010 G37x for 2 days. Drove mostly highway, couldn't agree with you more. Man, what difference from my 09 G35X with the 5AT, much more responsive in that 40-45. In fact, it seems to love the 65mph zone - at 2200rpm and feels "loose" - lagging unless you hit the throttle hard. Two things are earned by this: Better MPG ( I see that already) and Infiniti tried to eliminate the many complaints of the 09's "jerky" takeoff. I liked the sensitive, repsonsive throttle. Wish I had it Back.

It's a bit temperamental driving in traffic, but on the open roads, the 7AT (and engine) really shine. This car loves to rev!

from 1500 - 3000 it is very linear.
my coupe is not so great down low.
mid range pull is very impressive for the sedan with the extra weight.

wonder how the xs feels?
last time the car had 17s goodyear rs-a
it was loose as can be, this time the grip was extremely smooth.
body lean does not exist it seems in the sedan.
to all you sedan x guys, nice rides.
Can you list the build date? Thanks.

Punching it at speed is a different thing entirely. At certain speeds (like 40 - 45 mph) the 7AT does not downshift agressively enough. And it doesn't downshift to 1st at all unless you stop or downshift manually. This means punching it at 10 mph it is a dog. You can take care of this by shifting manually, but I wish the 7AT was a bit more consistant and agressive at downshifting.

i have both a 2007 G35 6mt Sedan and a 2009 G37x Coupe. I drive both on a regular basis and had some fun with my friend's 2010 G37xS sedan vs my G35 6MT.... 6mt is just a driver's race vs the 7AT.

I'll post some track times when we go down for Nissan-Infiniti Day at Englishtown July 10th. Going to track both cars that day
