Just got G, adding mods, looking for opinions and install estimates
just got my 2008 g37 automatic athens blue from my dad, only 20,000 miles
this is what im thinking of adding:
Hi Flow Cats - $550 Berk or $370 ERZ, or $500 FI
Grounding Wires - $90 Stillen or $88 Black Betty
Air Filter - $70 K&N (2)
Intake - $500 Stillen Gen 3 or $450 R2C
Exhaust - $1200 Catback Stillen or $1400 FI
*updated options on list*
the k&n site says we have 2 air filters, is the correct?
which grounding wires are better, doesnt seem to be much difference in forum, but whats difference in 4 awg and 8 awg?
whats a rough estimate for installation?
any recommendations for houston area to get installed, going to woodlands performance in a few days.

HFCs - ERZ: ERZ performance / CNT RACING 09-10 Nisasn 370z High Flow Catted Pipe
Grounding Wires - Black Betty... cuz he's a member here.
Air filter/intake - I'd pick the R2c system for ease of installation/maintenance. Personal opinion.
Exhaust - Fast Intentions... they have 3 versions: Fast Intentions
Yes, we have dual intakes, so you'd need 2 filters if you don't purchase a pre-made kit.
4awg wire is thicker. Unless you plan on getting an aftermarket stereo, a grounding kit really isn't needed. JMHO though.
You can install the grounding kit/intake (If you go R2c) yourself. If you get the Stillen Gen3 intake, and aren't comfortable with removing the bumper/trimming some parts, have the shop do it for you.
Price? Well, that depends on your shop. Most hourly rates range from $90-120. HFCs and exhaust alone would take 2-2.5 hours, the HFCs taking up most of that.

Save your money on intakes and just get HKS drop in filters
Fast intentions exhaust period forget about stillen Catback FI is the best sounding period.
Ground wires I wouldn't get , again save your money!!
HFC , great idea to pair up Fast intentions HFC w FI Catback ... Especially w there new X pipe design , it's so baddass man... Exhaust -$ 1500filters -$50 . HFC -$500

all the reviews on grounding wires have been really good especially automatic, and i do plan on adding an amp and sub in the future, iv been looking at FI vs Stillen on exhaust i just really love the videos of people with the set up i have described. havent looked into ERZ vs berk, or the R2c system. thanks for the other options, more research time lol

I like to match the air through the car with the same company if I can...so I went Stillen all the way through. They also give a good discount when buying multiple things. Their Gen 3 Intake sounds great and gives good power gains. It comes with the Air Filters, so you don't need those. The Stillen Cat back Exhuast was perfect for me... Love the sound, fits great, and not too large like many others are.
Grounding wires...I did my own and used much better materials than what you can buy. (00 to 4 Gauge Military grade grounding straps) and I noticed absolutely no difference or benefit to driving. Especially not shifting like people say they experience.

I made the mistake of spending thousands on my last car and still not being happy with the power. This time im doing it right.
1. Sway bars
2. Supercharger kit
3. Brake mods
...and CARB legal so if i ever get a ticket i dont have to pay the $1000 and STILL have to pull all the parts off to get smogged.

1) drop on Eibach/coilover
2) Hotchkis sways
3) exhaust - pick what you think sounds best
4) intake - Stillen Gen3 or Injen (and because they are such great guys, filters are included so you don't need to buy those separately )
5) Berk HFC's
6) BB grounding wires since you have AT
If you are going for raw power I would agree with this but add in the drop, HFC, and exhaust as well. I'd also look at wheels

The big question you have to ask yourself is that are you going to eventually go F/I. like most of us who have F/I like myself spent around 2-3g's on the cars performance before going F/I. only for them to not even be used in our setups. just a heads up

not trying to be insulting, just making sure there aren't any miscommunications
