6speed at low RPMS

Does anyone else notice when starting out in first 1500rmps-2000rpms when slowly releasing the clutch it sounds fairly rough, not sure if this has been happening since day one or something new, just today my IPOD died mid-drive and I was able to listen to the car.

Is this normal or something I should be concerned about?

the problem is when you say you are SLOWLY releasing the clutch...you shouldnt really be letting it out slowly...that is just burning up the clutch if you let it out too slowly

well I do it slowly while slowing pressing the gas to get the car moving. If I do it do quickly its far to jerky.

it shouldnt take more than a second or so to fully engage the clutch. if you are sitting there slowly bringing the clutch up while slowly bringing the RPM's up at the same rate then you'll end up doing a lot of damage to your clutch long term

I admit that the G has a very sensitive catch point, but it gets easier over time

Yes, the clutch is a bit noisy. Mine is still good so far at 56K. I've even burned the hell out of it once or twice at the drag strip.

I will try to time how long I leave the clutch engaged tomorrow but I am pretty sure its over a second. The noise is only when I start to release the clutch once the engagment starts to really happen the noise goes away.

I only have 4,000km (~2500miles) on the car.

If it takes more than a second to release the clutch, what your 0-60 time might be?

I am about 2 seconds to release the clutch fully when starting from a dead stop, how bad is this?

You are riding the clutch too long if it is 2 seconds. I agree that the tranny is sensitive and can be jerky if you don't ride the clutch a little. But you will get used to it. I have the chatter sound at friction point, too. I have owned many manual tranny cars and none have done it. Went to the dealer and I drove a new 2010 on the dealer lot and it does the same thing. Just don't get obsessed with it and ride the clutch on purpose to hear it. If you start listening for every little sound, you will find them and drive yourself crazy. Just drive it and enjoy.

1500-2000rpm sounds a little bit high. I release it at 1000-1200rpm, definitely not 1500rpm.
