g37 sedan rev limit at about 2500rpm

hey guys so im new to this website but i have a question that i hope you can help me out with cause my mechanic hasn't given much help.

so i got my g37x sedan in june and have had no problems until about 3 weeks ago. i was driving on a local road in my town and all of a sudden when i would accelerate my car would bog out and limit me to 2500 rpms. I turned it off and back on again and it did the same thing. I brought it down to my dealership who were no help at all. surprise surprise. anyway i was recently told, after i had an o2 senor replaced which did very little to help the problem, that it could be a clogged oil senor. I was a little late on my oil change which would make sense that the sensor would be clogged although would that produce this kind of effect? I can still go about 60 mphs but i have to accelerate very lightly so i don't bog out the engine.

try and do an ecu reset or just unplug your battery for minute or two.

your car is in limp mode. I doubt the issue is caused because you were late on your oil change.

Dealer should really have taken care of this issue for you. Thats what warranty is for.

Normally you'd have to be a few years late on an oil change in order to break something. Otherwise it would be a pretty crappy design. Frequent oil changes generally help long-term wear issues, not that kind of stuff.

Check the MAF Sensor. I had the same limp mode when MAF was having problems.

How Late? ...and do you open the accelerator much? This engine generates
very high heat in the VVEL system very quickly when the accelerator is wide
open...even for very short amounts of time. More often than not, overheating
the oil is what puts this engne in "limp mode". If this is the case, combined
with an oil that can't stand up to the heat, it can result in VVEL actuator
motor failure.....or worse. If you love this engine and drive it hard, put
oil in it that can take the heat and change it often or risk literally
cooking your oil to parts of the valve train. This engine heat
shears oil faster than you can say Mobil 1

It is absolutely ridiculous that you would be on here looking for an answer and not back at the dealer until they corrected it or replace the vehicle under lemon law. The car is less than a year old! Unless you did something incredibly stupid to the car there is no reason that any daily driving habits, no matter how aggressive, should have that type of effect in less than a year.
