Noisy idle, goes away when I press clutch.
I have this fairly loud engine noise when idling, when I press the clutch it goes away. So I'm not really sure if this is common, or maybe it's cause of my stillen g3 or exhaust. here's a video Click! I also have a whine when driving slow and applying the smallest amount of gas. Not sure if it's the VVEL actuator noise or not. I have 4200 miles btw, and did an oil change at 3750 with Penzoil Platnium Thanks for the help

It's normal clutch issue (or expected at least) on the G's. I hated the sound. I believe it is the throw out bearing. Some people had it bad enough to get there trannys replaced. For most, it is just annoying rattle that drove me bonkers!

I figured it might have been the throw out bearing, just didn't honestly think it will happen at 4000 miles.. It gets worse than this? wow it's already loud
I would go to the dealer, but jeez I bet they'll throw a fit cause of my mods.
If I knew for sure it they'll cover it, i'll take out my mods to bring it there.

Had the same noise on my g till I took it to the dealer and had hear the noise with the foreman mechanic and my service writer. At first they told me it was normal until I persisted and searched around a bit in the forum and found out someone else had the same issue and had his transmission and clutch assembly replaced. They finally decided to take a look at it after I emailed the service writer the link to the page and they ended up replacing my tranny and clutch assembly. I say tell em about and just be persistent. That noise is not normal at all and the teeth on the flywheel could be all messed up. Don't worry about ur mods, I didn't.
