1 less HP than will cause the engine to blow!...seriously!

I've seen the same two cars/engines with the same blower show different results. One had about 375rwhp and blew up on the dyno, the other had over 450rwhp and ran just fine w/o problems.

Tuning, Tuning, Tuning. You can blow a FI motor with 6lbs of boost if your tuning is off but you may also be able to run 9lbs of boost if your tuning is spot on.

I think it's just a hard question to answer.

Edit: coincidentally I just saw a guy who posted on dragtimes.com...
he says he's got an '08 G37S with a GT28RS Turbo. His car produces 536hp and 426tq on a completely stock bottom end.
...so there's 1 actual example (assuming all his stats are correct and updated)

You will need a shift kit, as the trans will not be shifting fast enough. I don't think there's been any significant development for the 7AT, yet, and I am unsure as to if any of the 5AT parts will carry over.

He was asking about the transmission, not the engine.

Shift kit will not work for the 7AT

This post needs to be Revitalize, we need to hear more from the Forced Inducted community that drives 7AT and can shed some info on how much HP/TQ are you putting down on stock Tranny with FI.

You might have better luck searching on the370z forums. Most of the tech info you'll need is on there

More important question is how much horsepower can your driving skill handle? Learn to drive the car at full potential at it current horsepower level than worry about force induction. I've been passed at the track in my TT-Z (550whp) by spec Miatas (200bhp?) due to driver skill.

I have a TT 2012 with 7AT and ~500whp. I had a GTM valve body upgrade on the tranny and still experienced slippage in 4th & 5th at higher RPMs.
that being said, I know that torque has a ton of effect on the tranny so my 500whp would be more torque than a super charger torque.

That's my real life experience with the Same tranny.

my tuner said the stock tranny is good for about 450whp but if you are hard on the car which who wouldn't be if your making good power its best to do they Upgrade..i mean if you going FI you might as well do it right the first time

@Wattles Did you have your tuner increased the tranny line pressure via Uprev?

You would need a transgo kit. Long life for the transmision
