Help How many horsepower can G37 handle? (GTM stage 1 SC)
#16
Transgo Kit is not for 7AT it's for 5AT (NA) and not for Forced Inducted vehicles. I used to have that crap it didn't help at all on my F.I. G35X and I had the Transmission rebuilt at Level Ten also and that didn't help also.

I have a TT 2012 with 7AT and ~500whp. I had a GTM valve body upgrade on the tranny and still experienced slippage in 4th & 5th at higher RPMs.
that being said, I know that torque has a ton of effect on the tranny so my 500whp would be more torque than a super charger torque.
That's my real life experience with the Same tranny.

Or are you accelerating in those higher gears (4,5,6) when you're experiencing slippage?

Check this post out: The member name is WILLDOGS and he owns a Twin Turbo G37x Sedan that is putting down 451 WHP with no modifications to the stock transmission and isn't experiencing any slippage and has over 15K on the transmission.

Are you allowing the car to downshift automatically OR do you manually downshift into 2nd or 3rd gear before you start to accelerate into the higher gears and do you still experience slippage?

By the way I also received the GTM VB upgrade as a precautionary measure to protect the Transmission for my GTM Twin SC Project.

i know someone who have a 2012 g37 fully loaded he broke the torqe conveter after 20k
i think the best thing to do is valv body + higher stall + good quality cooler

If you do the uprev for higher line pressure with the gtm valvebody it works well. I have done the valvebody and noticed the difference. I am getting the uprev protune done soon where I will up the line pressure. So we will find out.

i say screw it go for broke i ride with a buddy to cars and coffee and he has a stage 2 supercharger and he makes around 515 to the wheels no slippage just straight power...but then again i have heard some bad things and the GTM fitment on their super charger systems... if your car is brand new go with the stillen since you dont need to worry about warranty issues
