Hypertech Max Energy Sport...just got it
#17
Just received my hypertech and tried to install but received the dreaded "you must upgrade" error, so I tried to upgrade and received the "your version not supported" error. So, now, I wait patiently...for someone from hypertech to let me know there is an update available. On the bright side, it makes a nice paperweight.

Mine took 3 days to get a calibration update, then lag weekend I had the dealer do the "engine tick" ecu reprogram fix and now I need ANOTHER calibration for that. A
oh well, it's more than worth it!

One thing making me hesitate... there haven't been any "official" updates to this thing on their website in close to a year...
Software Downloads - Hypertech
If they have newer "firmware" available, I don't see why they can't put it up in the support section...

Just got mine in the mail. Did not have to wait for Hypertech to calibrate for 2 days. Basically it had me plug in to the computer and update to recent software and that's it. (fyi, I have an 08 G37S)
Throttle lag is now gone so acceleration is now smoother and more how it should have come from the factory.
In regards to power performance increase. I feels a little more powerful. Not a crazy difference but you know there's an additional umph in there.
One side note. When I purchased this unit I was under the impression that you can increase the rev limiter + or - 500rpm. I noticed that It only allows -500 rpm adjustment, so you can only reduce and not increase. I just went over the website and noticed that it only allows for -500 rpm decrease.
Question.. Can this be run in conjunction with the Blitz TC?

just got back. ill try and post the graphs but the dyno was acting funny.
Baseline was 220hp and 197lbs/tq to the wheels...keep in mind Auto Tranny and AWD
After hypertech: 227hp and 202lbs/tq to the wheels
+7hp +5 lbs torque
Baseline:
86(hp loss to the wheels) divided by 306 = 28% in drivetrain loss.
71(tq loss to the wheels) divided by 268 = 26.5% in drivetrain loss
thats about right for an AWD Automatic, correct?
