OEM oil filter

I'm a new 09 G37X owner, and have been reading all of the posts about oil and oil filters. During the waranty period I plan to change oil every 3750 miles, use a good grade of 5W30 (unless I get the valve noises), and use the OEM filter. The filter that's currently on the car has part number 15208 65FOB. I can only find replacements which end in "C". I've read that the "B" filter is put on the car at the factory in Japan, and can indicate to the dealer if somebody has ever done an oil filter change. For instance if a car with 30k miles comes in for waranty service and still has the "B" filter, then the dealer knows that its original filter from the factory. Is this true, and is the 15208 65FOC the proper oil filter for my upcoming first change?
