Got my car logged via UpRev Cipher

Man this UpRev data logging tool does wonders! I got the raw files from a friend of mine who's a certified UpRev Tuner, played around with MS Excel a bit and extracted those sexy results!

Following runs were conducted in 2nd gear @ WOT

Ambient Temperature: 75 degrees
Coolant Temperature: approx. 207 degrees

Air-Fuel Ratio vs Engine Speed (RPM)

I broke the 14's mark! Dayum I'm running lean, I'm looking forward to prove my friend and local tuner wrong who claim that I won't see much from adjusting AF. So finger's crossed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ignition Timing (Crank Degrees Before Top Dead Center) vs. Engine Speed (RPM)

This is where I'm expecting to see some nice gains, advancing the ignition timing. As you can notice the ECU keeps on retarding the timing to avoid chances of knocking/detonation as your revs go up.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also did the Intake Air Temperature vs. Vehicle Speed, thing is I used SI units and didn't save the Excel file. So use google to do the conversions lol

Intake Air Temperature (Degrees) vs. Vehicle Speed (kph) Cold Air Intakes FTW BABY!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My ECU ROM number was sent to UpRev in hope to crack this lame ole ECU. Can't wait to get her tuned!!

PS: Car did 50-75mph in 2nd in almost 3.62 seconds

It's all good haha, I wouldn't bother going through all this headache just for intakes. But I had a feeling my combo needed some attention

Sam, I can tell you personally there's a good amount of power to be made when adding more fuel and dropping the A/F. You're in the 14s which is pretty surprising especially when it's pretty warm out. Normally people who run lean do so during the winter months, which in your case there are none lol.

I broke the 14 mark too when I did a baseline on my car at certain points, but it was 40 degrees out when doing the pulls.

If you're going to do LTHs I would get a tune immediately afterward. I wouldn't be surprised if you ran even leaner when adding the headers.

Sam, what do you need to do to use the Cipher? I'm in the market for a datalogger myself. So let me get this, you datalog your car, send the files to Uprev, give them your mods list and they send you a tune?

Cobb is a handheld accessport, you can use their maps or go to a Pro Tuner and get a custom map for your engine.

I agree with you, hoping to prove my tuner wrong.

The Cipher is nothing but a cable that hooks up to your OBDII port

The datalogging part was actually for me not for UpRev, I wanted to see how lean I was running that's all. The tuner used the Cipher & UpRev software to read my ECU ROM number so he can get a "crack" for it from UpRev themselves. Once the crack is obtained, the tuner himself will dyno tune my car, none of that homo preloaded maps business

Sam, you only did 2nd gear WOT runs? i'm staring at that 3500 rpm spike...never seen that on a VQ with your type of mods. usually i see it run all the way lean throughout the band, but yours seems to run high 12s then spike and run through 13.8s....even as high as 14s on 5800 and 2000.

what do your dynos look like? any weird fluctuations on the power curve at those rpms?
