Bad tune?? Or the stock ECU was trying to fight the reflash?? Could be anything.
For me tho, I would never use reflash for FI. I'll only go with stand alone even if it mean more $.
When you spend a few grand putting FI together, you want to do it the right way... not half azz way.

A reflash tune is very safe for FI and it works. I have 4000 miles on my build off a custom Technosquare reflash pushing 550WHP on a built motor with ZERO issues, and it drives like stock. Standalone's are not fool proof and MANY people have blown motors on stand alones.

For real, unless you're running meth injection and want to go with Anti Lag, Launch control, read from MAPs etc a standalone is a plain waste of money
That Blown Motor is plainly a drivers error

First off your logic makes no sense...if the ECU is re-flashed the memory is re-written and there are new parameters identified...the old parameters are gone...so there will be nothing for the ECU to fight...based on your logic you are saying the ECU is fighting itself...not possible.

My car was dyno tuned at Technosquare on a reflash...ZERO det, ZERO knock, car is perfect and A/F's are solid at WOT. Sounds like this could have been driver error, or lack of fuel pressure creating a lean condition, or possibly an over rev. We can speculate all day, chances are it was not the tune.
