i advise you to read this thread: http://my350z.com/forum/nitrous-oxid...irst-time.html

dont get nitrous if you know nothing about it. dont want your engine blowing up on you.

thanks, that helped out alot.. im definitely getting the turbo XS Utec if i go ahead and buy the nos kit.. im just wondering if 100 shot is too much.. also, about the fuel pressure switch and the blow down tube does most kits include em or i have to buy em separately?

if i was going nitrous, i would go with a 50 or 75 shot. 100 seems too much...thats just me though. you just have to check what is in the package when buying.

100 shot was fine on VQ35 series.
Since only few people have nitrous on VQ37, I'd wait a bit more if i were you.
100 shot should be fine on VQ37. There is a person running 150 shot on the forum.
I wouldn't go over 100 shot though.

1. It is Nitrous, not NOS
2. They do not make the Utec for the G37
3. Blow down tubes are seperate and usually pointless. You pretty much are guaranteed to have to have one custom bent.

I actually ran a 125 shot on my G35 for 2 years on a stock block. As long as you know what you are doing and install a safe system, it was perfecly fine. I used the Venom VCN Computerized set up. It actually uses seperate wideband o2 sensors to monitor the A/F ratio and adjusts the car accordingly. Also it uses a linear progression spray not just a straight shot. Meaning it starts off low (about 50 shot) at 3500 rpm and increases as the RPMs increase. It had built in window switches to shut off the flow at the top of the RPM band to allow for shifting. Also would shut itself off if the car ran too lean.

You really should do alot more research before you do anything with nitrous. If you dont know what you are messing with, you will destroy your car. I would check the My350z forums (they are more perfomance oriented compared to G35 guys) or nitrous specific forums.

Also, I have had nitrous on my Firbird Forumla, RSX, both G35s, and even a 50 shot on my R1. If you have any questions please ask.

In the end you will end up spending more on a nitorus set up. I good nitrous set up will cost about 3-4k. Plus install and tune. Usually you can walk out the door under 5k. But then you figure it usually costs 50 dollars per bottle and with a 125 shot on my G35, I could get about 6 uses.

Everyone says they wont use it, but the power gets addicting. After awhile you are filling the bottle every other week. It adds up fast.

You pay all that money for the car to add nitrous, why? Stop being cheap and add the TT or SC you owe it to your car. They are safer also. If you want to add nitrous go buy a track car. Seems like nothing but trouble but, like whosurbuddiee said spend a little more time doing your research and get the system that he was talking about seems worth it.

our engines can handle it without any forged internals.my boy has a tt 05 coupe with meth injection putting down 442whp. for over 2 years no problems at all. and the 37s motor is stronger & built for more hp. and 10k for twins i paid about 25% of that for my 100 shot.the only reason its any issue is the timing again. 75 shot all day with no problems at all. ill post the dyno tomm.
