Burning smell under the hood on passenger side

today i notice a burning smell when i open the hood on the passenger side it's almost like a burning rubber or burning oil smell.

I'm not sure what to do the car is still under factory warrenty and no mods has been put on at all.

Any idea what this could be? I've read up some forums and someone said it could be the valve cover gasket is leaking oil and is what cause the smell when the leaking oil drop on some hot enginer parts.

Thanks,

[J]

man, let me know too when you find out. I'm having the same issue. I have 17K+ miles. Sometimes, I can smell it inside the cabin with windows closed and all.

since its still under warranty, i would take it to the dealer and let them deal with it.
