Tuned with Cobb Accessport!
Okay, so I got the car tuned the other day and I was pretty impressed with the amount of horsepower made. Now, the weather was cold, in the 40s, so the horsepower readings could be a little bit on the higher side from the denser air. The important thing isn't the horsepower it puts up on the rollers, but the amount gained from the tune as everyone already knows.
My Mods: Fast Intentions resonated test pipes, Fast Intentions catback (with new x-pipe), and Stillen G3 intakes.
My baseline was: 314whp at 260wtq (rounding numbers)
After Tune: 331whp at 269wtq (rounding numbers)
That's over 17whp in just the tune alone, plus another 8wtq

WOW! that a nice gain Bro! I will be getting my 07 G35 Sedan Tuned next week! My car has Injen CAI, FI HFC's, and Stillen Cat-back. Hopefully I can gain at least 10-maybe 15HP with a tune!
How do they exactly tune with the Cobb? Do they need to use the Cobb AP, or do they use a laptop first to tune? then upload it to the Cobb AP? Since the Cobb AP cable is kinda crappy!! One little touch of that cable while downloading a map to the ECU, and the Cobb disconnects!! Wish they had a better cable that is more stable!! Please give me some insight as to how they do the tuning? so I know what to expect from my Dyno guy's next week!?? Would apprecite it!

I got 15whp frpm the air fuel with the cobb and a professional tuner with a dyono. is they can't do anything with the timming.or throttle tables, then you'd see seme sick gains.

Not much I can do with the air fuel and the overlays. I scanned what I was given. Pretty much across the board the air fuel is 12.8-13.0 at wide open throttle. Sam, I'll try to get the full resolution scans, and upload it in a few.
Also, the Cobb only gives you access to fuel tables up to the 7,200rpm range. That means anything after 7K, the ECU automatically compensates, that's why there's a couple nice size dips in the curve. If I had access up to 8,000rpms, there would be more of a smoother curve with timing and we could get rid of those dips by leaning or adding more fuel.

Lets say you can mess with timing, what gains are we looking at

That's the thing, not much either! I don't get what the fuss about messing with Ignition Timing is all about. Advancing timing is mostly beneficial on FI cars and according to AAM, they were able to mess with the timing using the Cobb AP (which I'm calling BS btw)
