LOL.

Sorry guys, I've been busy with work and stuff. I'm waiting to get the car dynoed and checked up by Sam. I feel like the car is not making as much power as it should. I'm going to GTM tomorrow. Will post dyno and videos!

Awesome dynos and vid man. Congrats on getting it finished and props for tackling this all on your own. Not many people can pull off something like this.

^^ LMAO yes!!

Congrats, man! First of all, I'm terribly jealous but incredibly impressed too. Not only did you get the turbo and install it, but you documented it all very well for others to benifit from. A million kudos for that. You must feel totally proud at accomplishing this huge task.

nice work! Maybe there is a little bit of clutch slippage and that is why it doesn't feel as powerful as it should? There is a reason I suggest that --- my factory has 2500 miles on it and it might be trying to giv up on me....hehehe.

@ Dillyo: Honestly, for a boosted G, I prefer the AT.

The power comes on so smooth that you don't get a huge surge of power. Keep in mind, you still have a high compression engine that makes pretty impressive power NA. This isn't like a STI or EVO where the engines make less power than a Civic without boost. Their power ramps up very quickly, and have huge torque peaks (and dropoffs), where as your setup delivers power almost as smooth as a NA VQ37.

The "slammed into your seat" feeling comes from a huge change (increase) in torque output by the engine. That simply doesn't happen with this setup. From a technical standpoint, that is a good thing, as it puts far less stress on your drivetrain, and makes it easier for you to keep traction.

It could also be a good thing.... let your friends think you're NA, and wonder how you're picking up speed so fast....

^when I said the car is not making as much power as it should, it was due to the extremely conservative tune. At that tune, it was only making 380WHP.

But after taking it to Sam, the car feels a lot better. It feels a lot more like a TT G37. After I fix the wastegate issue, the car should have an even better throttle response.

Can someone tell me what's going on here?

It looks like two different runs here. One tops out at 431 hp and the other at 422 hp. If that is the case I would want the 422 hp tune. Way way more area under the curve and a lot more useable power. Or am I looking at it wrong?

Yeah, Sam was playing with the gain and response settings on the boost controller. But because my wastegates are opened prematurely, the car wont make more than 6 psi.
