Guessing the radar shuts off with the car so it appears, you're not driving it far enough to recharge the battery. The battery will hold a charge for a while (since infiniti recharged it) but starting it does put a lot of drain on the battery and driving it 1-2 miles is not enough to fully recharge it. I'd guess it's going to die again.

seems i've told this story many times but i wanna help so once more
1. yes i have a hard wired radar detector
2. i drive 3miles to work, 3miles back, 6 days a week
3. i have led's in door/licenseplate/dome/trunk
4. my alarm is armed
5. i have a 2008 6mt
6. batteries(plural) tested fine at 3 autoshops, would die after about a day, very sluggish start the first time after charged up
7. after second battery died, i gave up went aftermarket (optima redtop) have not had a problem since, and even have faster/cleaner start ups
conclusion, it's infiniti batteries. (at least for me)
hope my story helps

Battery story:
2 years: 2 batteries (16 months and 7 months)
Just come back from the dealer:
They replaced the 550amp to a heavy duty 700amp Infiniti battery and replaced vent control valve. No charge.
Do I need to buy the charger or stater for the future battery drain?

Call the dealership today, they said they will replace my battery no problem but I will have to pay the prorate charge of 25% which comes out close to $30. should I just buy a good brand battery from autozone?

wow! you have a good dealership then! ,, you only called them and they are giving you a brand new one! go ahead and get the batt. if it fails you , get an optima from autozone. My battery after being recharged havent failed me yet, but im planning in the near future to purchase the red top just for the peace of mind

I still have to pay $30 pro-rate charge for the new battery, so should I just add another $40 or so more and get a good brand aftermarket one?

how long do own your car? if its less than 24 mos, you shouldn't pay anything per warranty, red top cost 179 and yellow top around 209.

oh really? thanks for the heads up. because the guy that I spoke to asked how old my car was, and I said a little over 1 1/2 year, and he said ok then there's a pro rate charge of 25%. I'll see what I can do then.
