I feel like I'm going to need to change my clutch to but I'm probably just being pessimistic -_- I need to go to the meets so someone can just tell me I'm not killing my clutch when i drive.

Do you smell your clutch often, or do you feel the RPMs are trying to catch up on you when you get on it? When your clutch slips it's kind the same feeling when you are driving in the rain and get on it, the car starts to lose traction the RPMs go up very fast, and you let off the gas and the RPMs dive back down.

btw, im getting pulsating / a series of bumping feeling on my clutch lately... any thoughts ? is it because im holding it beyond the friction point.. or just a tad bit before the friction point. i just cant get a smooth take consistently anymore.

From a dig, or just in general while driving?

No haven't experienced any of that except that nasty fish smell when I burned the clutch going up my driveway for the first time. I think I'm paranoid because this is my first manual car because i only have about 1,500 miles. It would be very sad if i had to replace it already but again I'm just paranoid because i have only driven one other manual car I don't think its a good comparison and that was a Geo Metro..

1,500 you're fine. I've seen a 350z that had every bolt on possible minus forced induction, abused every time it was driven and his stock clutch lasted him 80k miles, I couldn't believe it. The transmission overall is pretty solid and can take a good amount of abuse.

That's good to hear. Kinda peace of mind knowing that my clutch should be able to make it 80,000 without any harsh abuse.

NLP beat me to it but I was curious to your daily driving habits wondering if that may have led to your problem. 35k is a lot (to me) of miles.

Question, would the clutch only slip if under hard acceleration? Reason is because i just got some HFC installed and when under hard acceleration it seems that the rpms are trying to catch up in 2nd gear into 3rd or are the tires spinning so much that im not getting traction. If so is this when you know to replace it? I only have 11,xxx miles. Thanks.

Do you keep VDC on or off (traction control)?

Off when sprinted/hard driving. On when wet/rainy conditions. But refering to my original post i had vdc off when i ripped through 1st, then into 2nd & when in second the rpms are up high but it seems like im not goin anywhere.
