Shifting into 2nd

Shifting into 2nd
So I have about 1200km on my car however I notice shifting into 2nd gear is a little hard to do smoothly.
I try shifting at 2500rpms, 3000rpms. clutch out slowly, feather the clutch, try a little faster.
Any tips to make this shift smooth?

Hi,
I'm new as well to the G 6MT - just picked it up last week. I definitely need to improve my technique as my shifts right now are pretty jerky.
Take a look at this thread I found, it may help us both:

From this information, it looks like you may be revving a bit too high from 1st to 2nd.

I posted a similar thing a few weeks ago.
I had a tough time shifting stop-1, 1-2 smoothly as well.
Seems the clutch on our vehicles is pretty high.
You can adjust the clutch or learn the quirks of the G.
I found that being VERY easy on the clutch from stops and from 1-2 is the best.
Shifting right around 3k and letting revs fall to just above 2k while easing out the clutch smoothly works best.

I find the G 6mt hard to drive smoothly as well. I accepted it on my 04 coupe but went with the 7AT this time around as I didn't sense any improvement on the new models. The unit in my 335 was extremely smooth and easy to drive. I'll take the longer throws in the 335 over the clutch setup on the G any day.

Now, as for heel-toe downshifting - that is taking her a bit longer to master but she is now up to executing solid acelerator blips when changing to a lower gear!
