heres my question? is keeping it in DS and driving it a bit aggressively bad for the car?
Yep. They actually made that mode and gave the G the ability to be driven aggressively just so that people who did would destroy their cars and have to spend money fixing it. Dont' ever drive aggressively or you will destroy your car!!

That's a tough one... I wouldn't say BAD, however with more wear and tear from agressive driving odds are you'll wear parts out sooner... tires, brake pads, Gas then someone that babies the car. Buying a sports car though and not using it however is a mortal sin and will surely damn your soul to an eternity of boredom. Since the G's not truely a sports car you can get away with either, but I would still punch it now and then just to be sure you're saved.
I was driving in DS mode today, which is the only way this car actually moves when you need it to, and when i hit third gear, the friggin trans wouldn't shift.. it rev'd up to 6 1/2 without shifting. Has this happened to anyone?
depends if you are going in a straight line, yes it should shift regardless if your in ds mode.
if your in the twisties then no, car has a sensor that detects if the car is off balance it will hold the gear to keep the car stable and it will not upshift.
if you are going straight try less throttle.
I suspect you are hitting the throttle hard.
ds mode in my car will only go to 4th.
it will hit 5th, eventually but I am tuned with a cobb.
