Throttle delay on 6MT...

Nothing happens for 1/2 second after blipping the throttle. A little annoying when trying to match revs on downshifts. I understand backing off throttle tip-in on the 7AT cars, but why on 6MT? This "feature" was invented for people that can't control their feet with precision. It makes the car drive smoother. I get it that, but not needed on the sport G's. People can purchase the non-S models for a smoother ride. The two cars should have different programs IMO.

Oh well, that's the worst thing I can find about this car after three weeks.

I agree, and I think the throttle response is actually slower on my 6mt than on an auto loaner. I've been considering a blitz throttle controller as a remedy.

or you could have the A/f ratio professionaly adjuasted & tuned.

I had that done & car is completly different throttle wise & way more responsive.

Oh and i have an auto 5 speed.

It some serious lag on the throttle.

My tuner & were just discussing, Infiniti must have made this car so grandma can drive.

LOL. I now hit WOT & the lays rubber all the way up 1st gear(it never in its life did that before)

Ya, i think i notice this little delay as well. When i get a tune i'm going to ask and see if they can fix it.

The Blitz controller is like 300-ish isnt it? Might as well put the few hundred extra and get a full tune.

My last car (Mustang GT) had this delay as well. I bought a tuner and an aftermarket tune that removed most of the throttle lag. The car felt much better, but I technically voided my warranty in doing so.

I'm not sure it bothers me enough to void my warranty on my G. I have to think about so more.

Where can I get this tuner? Does it have preloaded tunes on it? Do you have to purchase aftermarket tunes? With the Mustang, you had to purchase the tuner and then purchase the tunes or bring your car to tuner for dyno tune. The prepackaged tunes for the Mustang were so good that most people didn't bother to dyno tune their N/A cars.

BBGK might help with the throttle response a bit...?

Betty's Garage grounding wires will do a great job of eliminating most of the shift lag on AT cars. The improvement in throttle response isn't as pronounced but it helps somewhat on both AT and MT.

Much cheaper than any tuner.
