This thread is dedicated strictly to discussion of Eneos UOA and related topics.

There are plenty of "Is <insert oil brand here> any good?" Threads already. Post your question there.

Well, it's coming up on that time again soon, so I just ordered the 6-pack of Eneos 5w-30 from Amazon. I'm not going to do another UOA on the Nissan ester oil I'll be draining, but I'll probably do one for the Eneos in a few months when changing time rolls over again. I'll be sure to post it here when it's time.

In the meantime, I'll be sure to let you all know right here first if the engine catches fire or the nav system starts giving bad directions while running Eneos.

So far, so good after a day or two on the Eneos. No lifter tick or anything, although I've never experienced that anyway.

They charged me for the test 1.5 weeks ago. I got my virgin sample result but no UOA result yet. Going to give them a call today.

After I read the new Ultra UOA, I was going to bump this thread and see where your UOA was at!

-And JDM, look at Black Betty's last UOA. You can pretty much run Eneos for 10k miles.

However, if you are still under warranty, its entirely up to you. You can tell your dealer you are on schedule 2 maintenance and change it every 6 months or 7500 miles. Based on your driving mileage, I would say every 6 months if you are under warranty and play it safe..... thats what Im planning on doing until Im out of warranty.

Just found it! I didn't get an email but it's in my Black Stone account. I'll post it later tonight. Here's the summary:

You ran this oil quite a bit longer than the last yet wear changed very little. That's a good sign that your engine is free of problems at 43,592 miles. Sodium improved considerably and we're confident that the sodium present last time was from an additive in an oil run in the past. No fuel or moisture was found and the viscosity of the
oil read normally for a 5W/30. The TBN read 3.3 so you still had some active additive left. A reading of ~1.0 is considered too low for extended use. Try 7,500 miles next time. Iron will increase, but the other metals should stay low.
