7AT Lurches when slowing, normal or problem?
When coming to a stop with the car in regular D, the transmission downshifts and locks the torque converter. This engine braking makes every stop lurchy (two downshifts). Never had this with a transmission before. Is this a feature, or is mine just screwed up. It's embarrasing that now I can't stop smoothly.

I just got a new PG G37 Journet, Sport Nav, Prem and I also notice this.
I only have about 75 miles on it, and was just wondering if its me just babying it.
Anyone else have this problem ?

Cool, thanks for the link to the other section of the forum. That's the problem, and released just days before I bought my car. Still amazed they didn't catch this before shipping though. Geez. 5 lines of cars and none of the engineers noticed?

DarkKnightAZ, your car sounds like mine except for the color. What dealer did you get yours from? After my experience in the finance office, not sure if I want to go back to the place I bought it...

The finance office sucked, he was trying to sell me so much crap
and all I wanted was to finance my car.

Really? That's not how it works.
This "issue" has been discussed for quite some time and depending on the specific driving conditions may be more or less noticeable. Many of us don't experience the severe conditions some are claiming. The TCU update will enhance the downshift logic to smooth it out - let's hope it doesn't cause other issues.
