Rasp Question

So I had to sell my FI exhaust due to my HOA getting tired of its sweet rumble. I bought the Magnaflow and have this nasty rasp . I know there are threads on this but has anyone found a true fix . Does wrapping my HFC make a difference??? I have intakes, headers hfc and catback exhaust . This sucks !! I did not have a rasp problem with my FI exhaust . It will be missed ...

Wrapping your high flow cats isn't going to change the rasp by much, if any. You're going to need to have resonators welded in to minimize the tinny sound. I had the same exact problem with my Borla catback, but the 12" resonators I had welded in fixed the problem completely. I don't have rasp with my current setup.

I have the Magnaflo catback system on my car, and have not noticed and tinny or raspy sound. System sounds pretty good.

That's because you only have the catback, add the high flow cats and it'll be pretty raspy. Add headers, and it'll be even worse.

Wrong, I did a whole thread about this. I had test pipes to the greddys, you cant get louder than that, and had a terrible rasp. I wrapped the test pipes and y-pipe in header wrap and it eliminated 95% of the wrap and quieted the exhaust down to.

Did adding the resonators also quiet the overall sound level a lot, or just eliminate the rasp?
