IMO, a complete waste of time and money. If you want to be different then do it, but I wouldnt. G37's are already making 600+whp with a bolt on TT kit. Build the VQ, and turbo it, you will probably have the same power with half the headaches.

LOL at 10k$, I'm sure it would cost more than that to swap it into a G37. Almost everything would need to be custom made to make it fit, if a shop is doing the work the labor would be out of this world expensive. Cost of motor, ecu, custom parts, install, and all the misc problems will add up very fast. The value of the car will also drop because it will be much harder to sell a car with a custom motor swap than it would to sell a car with a built block and TT kit.

I already have an LSX based 454ci C6 Corvette Z06 with a Procharger F1A.
I like to be different.
Granted it was just a bore/stroke difference and not a complete block swap

my friend has a LS1 in his 350z (which is for sale).... he came from a twin turbo Z and then did this conversion from hanson cars down south.... it's your pocket and go for it. I rather stay w/ the motor the car came w/ and build it from there. these VQ motors can withstand some nice torque numbers

If you like different, how about you rebuild the titan motor for high(er) RPM and some ITBs? You definitely have the mechanical and tuning know-how... just a matter of a lot of labor, and I can just imagine the looks you'll get....

Which is somewhat true, but they will never be able to replicate the torque curve and power delivery of the larger displacement V8.
Thats just not how an OHC 4stroke V6 engine works, it cannot replicate the fat torque CURVE of a V8 engine with a larger bore.
I've seen quite a few turbo 350z's that make nice peak numbers, but suck under the curve. I like to be different, lets put it that way. If I do this, I do it right like all of my other builds. I appreciate your suggestions, and definitely respect the stock motor that comes in the G37, but for this particular application I do not feel it's going to get the job done. I definitely see it's potential though as you can see by the track times in my signature.

I believe the old addage "There is no replacement for displacement" applies here. Personally I say go with the ls3 or maybe even the sweeter ls7 motor but that's just me. The thoughts of an all aluminum 427 with a medium cam, full exhaust, and a set of twin turbos are dancing around in my head. Imagine the looks you'll get at a stop light with that beast sitting there loping away.

With the proper cam grinds, you can make the 5.6L Nissan engine lope like a sob too I agree with you 110% though, there is no replacement for displacement when you're talking about torque curves. Which is why I'm not interested in building the stock 3.7L engine.
For those of you wondering, I can purchase the drop out 5.6L Nissan motor, with accessories, fuel system, computer etc for $2000. Granted it will need to be built up if I do this

Nice, that's a steal! Also, you have to figure in the money you'll get BACK selling your 3.7L motor, ecu etc - that has to cut the cost way down..
