There are tons of threads and pages about this, and if you're considering you should step away from the "brief explanation" and read the details with all its bits and pieces.

Actually, the only thing common about those two is that they make good power, everything else is just different about them.

Supercharger runs on a pulley.
Turbos run off the exhaust.

Both are expensive.

Good luck in your search.

Congrats Christian.

Besides vaporizing my factory clutch, mine is working perfectly as well though I'm just a tick over total 5k miles. Its like having a Turbo Porsche at less than half the price.

Videos are incriminating so I never post them.

Drove it easy for a bit without issue. Gradual roll on the throttle here and there. I set up (on a closed course, naturally) and practiced about 4 or 5 launches and it was done. After that even a hard roll on at 40mph would start a slip.

It would have been the first "track day" that cooked the clutch.

So I assume you invested in an aftermarket clutch?

What did you go with?

Better results so far?

Thanks for the updates christian and Tainui.

Think imma pull the trigger soon.

wow Sam said people were getting alot more than 4000 miles on stock clutch. If I can get 6k I will be happy. I should have a new clutch by then though.

I went with the JWT clutch kit from our vendors here. It has performed very well so far and excepting ALL THE NOISE it makes at idle (another member called it a cement mixer sound and I'd agree) I'm happy.

Happy with performance.
Miserable with sound.
Just can't sit at a stop light without holding the clutch in because the rattling is that bad.

A guy on the370z forum blew out his CSC in his tranny after aftermarket clutch install. Read the above link about a guy doing this with his JWT clutch. Pretty sure the G37 has same tranny. Hope a vendor can get a part to fix this possible issue. The only thing is you would think this is happening to more people but it is not(I think). And some folks do not admit how much they were really beating the car when a part fails but who knows.

I drive around on 10psi, when its wet I go to spring pressure 6psi.

Do yourself a favor and dont use JWT for a turbo application, there is a reason I followed sams advise and went with the clutch I did. There is some chatter, but it has proven itself and there is zero slippage.

10psi all the time. I have not been over 8 so far. Are you doing that on 91 or race gas?
