Apparently mobil 1 is a class III oil now, following castrol, so go Motul 8100, as its a class IV/V full synthetic oil.

I was reading somewhere that referred to BMW's not doing so well with Royal Purple because it doesn't meet BMW specifications.. this article sums it up.

Nice find!

If your car is brand new, dont go synthetic for the first couple oil changes, after that then go for it.

motul 300v > motul 8100 > mobil 1.

Ok... So what is the FINAL choice of the Best Synthetic for this car??? I was a big fan of Mobil 1 when I had my 04' G35.... I'm close to 13k on my G37s now and I'd like to go Synthetic!
