I am driving a G37 7AT loaner for the weekend and I can tell you that ther eis a noticeable difference in the 7AT and the 5ATs sriving dynamics - particularly in MM. The 7AT has crisper/ quicker upshifts. The downshifts in D takes a bit of geting used to as the gearing is very low and slows the car down quite quickly. I wouldn't, however, call it annoying or disruptive.
