triptronic rev hold limits?
hey guys,
i was just wondering if it was safe to stay at a rpm ex: 4500 rpm's? for like a minute or two? i always drive in triptronic mode and at 2nd or 3rd gear, i stay at 3500-4500rpm for quite a while, just to make that tone haha just wanna make sure if its safe to do so.
thanxx

If your engine doesn't sound like this, you aren't revving it high enough before shifting it to the next gear. Hold it in the current gear till it sounds like this.

Are you in Glendale by chance? A lot of the little boys in Glendale like to rev super high. All I think is, shift already!!!! I don't think you'll have too many bad effects to the engine, probably a little less engine life, but we're talking 100k miles down the road you might fall short of some other 3.7 lifespan. Otherwise, just your MPG will suffer.
