how hard would it be to change the oil filter with this? Would I have to remove it everytime?

sorry to be an *** but can you not look at the pic and see that the oil plug is exposed so you can change the oil. you do know what it looks like right????? its the blue bolt in the pic

the final design .. will have a cut out for the oil drain plug and a trap door that can be open for oil change.

That's the original plan, but we still have to look at the panel first to see if that's doable.

Some panels like the 350z where you have to take off the original plastic panel for an oil change might not have enough room for a trap door, cut out for oil drain plug and vented fins ...

Will post pics after the R&D are done !

I actually dont see any benefit at all. The plastic protects from rocks just fine unless you are running over curbs or boulders.

Seems like it would add to heat soak as well. Plastic doesnt absorb heat.

last time I fitted the aluminum undertray for the `1st gen sedans for GT - Spec.,.. having it vented might help for the road racing guys

I just want it because mine is so flimsy. From bending it back and forth for oil changes. GTspec never updated us on this so I was just curious
