GReddy= super loud
Tanabe= more on the quite side
Also the tips and mufflers look totaly different. They are complety different exhausts. Tanabe is more quite and less aggressive looking. GReddy is louder and has angled mufflers and burnt tips.
I guess its really up to you...if they where similar than it would make sense to compare. But since there so far apart in my eyes, i guess its just personal preference of what style/sound you like.
Me personally...would prob go GReddy if i had to choose.
But realistically i prob wouldn't go for either.
I would go for a full cat-back. I've been a fan of the Fast Intentions CF.

There really isn't any negatives between the 2 systems. Like Evo said, its your personal preference.
Greddy is your best bang for the buck if you want power and noise.
The Tanabe is only an axel-back, so you're going to need to get some pipes for power which equals more money.
IMO, I think Tanabe looks best with our G with its dual wall tips. The tone is perfect for luxury sport cars.

Greddy consist of mid-pipe and axle back
Tanabe consist only axle back
So if you get Greddy's you just have to replace the y-pipe.

I've had both, and I loved the Greddy. The sound is just booming. Although I was never able to get over the looks. If you don't mind the looks of the Greddy, definitely go with the Greddy. I was able to make it a full cat-back for well under $1K.
The tanabe is nice and subtle. The fit finish is high quality, but in the end you're only getting a rear section for the same price as the Greddy.

tanabe is not quite, but is not as loud as greddy
and tanabe is just mufflers!
greddy has ti tips
tanabe more of a stock look
greddy obeastly loud
tanabe considered "loud"
almost two entirely different exhaust depends what you want.
I believe Hpa is also selling a used tanabe for like 450!

What they said. Depends on your style.
Greddy= sporty, agressive, loud.
Tanabe=sound and looks is a balance of sporty/classy,
Me personally, I don't like the way the Greddy's look on the G37's.
I was 100% going with Tanabe's until I saw what Injen's coming up with. I'll wait for now.
