Did i **** up my clutch?

I was stuck in some stupid intersection where i was trying to do a 3pt. turn and I tried to rush out of it because it turned red. Anyways. So i was rolling backwards and i tried to gun it out of the intersection and of course burn the **** out of my clutch. My RPMS were through the rough and the clutch peddle was pretty much stuck all the way down (obviously not able to grip the flywheel). The usual disgusting smell of a burned clutch filled the car and not I feel as though the clutch pedal is softer.

Did I do significant damage to my clutch? The cluch pedal feels easier to push down now, or i might just be paranoid. Let me know whats up please. Thanks.

You should be okay. Just don't make it a habit.

I did it today at the track much worse that you did.

You'll have the horrific stench of failure in your car for a little while to remind you to be better next time.l Then you'll very likely be OK like Blackjack said if you don't keep doing it.

If your car was turbo, it would have been toast!

You'll be fine as others mentioned.

It happend to me trying to show off by peeling out once. I've driven stick for over 8 years now and i have never smelled clutch burnt for this long. Like blackbetty said it stays in ur car for while. The clutch will feel lighter till it cools down, dont sweat it it'll be fine.
