ecu reset?

i just finished installing HKS exhaust and Berk HFC's to go along with the Stillen Gen III CAI, so i wanted to reset the ecu. i disconnected the negative battery terminal overnight.

when i started the car this morning the radio presets were unchanged...does this mean that the reset did not work?

are you sure you are disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery and not allowing it to touch the battery for at least 15 minutes? your predicament seems really odd...

Your case is really weird...are you sure what you disconnect is a negative battery cable? Maybe you can try the other way without disconnecting the battery. It's easy and all about timing. Once you get it, you can reset ECU anytime you want without erasing all your presets.
