Official Cobb AccessPORT question, answer, and help thread

HELP !!! I just got my Cobb AP plugged the cable securely and turned the ignition to 'ON' but it cannot communicate with my G. I don't know what's going on. I unplugged and tried and tried but it never seem to work. Please HELP !!!

So you're not even getting to the point where the AP identifies which model you have? I would go and see if you have the latest firmware, did you install the AP manager software on your computer?

Yup did not even get to the Idenification and yes I installed the AP manager software to my computer.

In the AP software, under the Help menu select "Check for Updates" this will install an separate update manager program that will check to see if you have the most current firmware and update you if you don't. Does the AP even turn on when you plug it into the car?

I'm running the latest firmware v1.2.11.1-7801 and the AP does turn on when I plug but it won't communicate with my g.

anyone notice theres a stage 2 93 v100 map in the (ACSD) folder for 08 G37 MT ? is that intended for 93 octane? and if anyone knows whats the difference between ACC and ACSD ?

odd ..im running 1.2.11.1-7677 ...im about to go outside and do this thing!

You should update to the latest firmware before you install. I also say the 93 map, and I don't know what the difference is between ACC and ACSD. I can tell you I'm an ACSD.

that is the latest firmware... 1.2.11 ...i sat on the website tripple checking everything .. i think the version before this one was ..

Version 1.0.0.3 or newer: You may proceed with the update.

Version 1.0.0.2 or older: You must uninstall the AccessPORT from the vehicle prior to updating.

Oh i had this problem, i had to send it back to the Cobb in baton rouge LA.
so go ahead and pack it up and send it to the cobb in baton rouge and they will fix you up. Since i am part of this service department in Cobb i will pay for shipping cost and you can just send it to
