A Q: To anyone that's already got their AP ...

Have you tried uninstalling it? How did it go? I don't mean loading up the Stock Style map, but actually uninstalling and going to bone stock?

it just plugs into the OBDII port. Uninstalling it isn't any different than uninstalling an ipod.

You don't need to keep the ap connected after you have flashed the map. So if you wanted to go back to the way it was before, all you have to do it un-pair it from the car and then disconnect it from the OBDII port.

Actually -- you missed my point. I know you can remove it after you upload a map, but I'm actually talking about uninstalling it.

When you install the accessport, it makes a backup of your ECU and writes additional info to your ECU. When you uninstall it, it's supposed to restore that backup and restore your ECU to it's exact original state.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried that...

How do you like yours with just having HFC's?
My HFC's are on the way and im debating on getting this next or holding off till i get an exhaust then get this.

You feel a nice gain in power with just having HFC's and adding the AP?

I like my setup as it is now. The HFC's really open up with the AP. The car screams top end and a definite stronger pull is noticeable. IMO the sound of the stock exhaust with HFC's and the AP is 10/10 and the power is good. Also, a friendly cruise with my buddy at a closed course yesterday (he drives a stage 2 gti with a gt30 turbo kit installed putting down 300whp and 300 lb/ft) definitely showed improvement over before when i didn't have the AP.

Nice nice...i think i'll be getting the accessport before my exhaust then...since exhaust is so much more.
HFC's and AP should be good for now.

Random question i have...i have about 750 miles on the G now...had it for 2 weeks. Is it alright for me to get on it now...i don't feel like waiting till 1200 lol almost all was stop and go...barely any cruising.
I know some people wait and some people don't care. Anyone else wait till only 700-800 miles? input?
