Loss of Engine Response
I apologize if this has been posted before but I searched and couldn't find anything that matched what I experienced.
I was driving around town the other day and I went through a stop light and turned left to head up a hill and when I gave the car a decent amount of gas it felt/sounded sluggish and didn't have any torque. It felt as though the car went from 6 to 3 cylinders or something. It wasn't only in one gear but was in every gear (I have an 08 G37S 6MT). After a short period of time it just went away on it's own and the car felt normal again. Is this something that has happened to anyone else before? Should I take it in to get checked out?

Yes, take it to the dealer. I had the same thing happen to me and I shrugged it off thinking I got bad gasoline or something. Few days later it happened to the point of my car not even moving. Turns out there is a known problem with a fuel sensor (not sure on the technical details). I had to get it towed to the dealer and they replaced it (under warranty of course). Take my advice, take your car in before you get stranded!

its your traction control! you will see you light flash on you cluster. just slowing down the spin. turn off the traction control on the left side of the column and that wont happen.

No, I completely understand how my VDC works. My experience was entirely different. My car eventually did not start. I had a bad fuel sensor (again, I forget the technical details) and Infiniti had to keep my car for a day to replace it. I'm surprised it wasn't a recall.
I guess it's possible I misinterpreted what you’re describing? If you have your Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) turned on, which by default it is on, then when your wheels slip, the car will not deliver power to the wheels. If this is the case, then I would suggest reading the owners manual....
