Do you have a 5at or a 6MT? If it is a 6MT I would definitely go for it if you have $15k ready in case the total comes up to that but research where you are getting it done if you decide to do it.

I just came off a stage 2 wrx to get the "G" and I understand the sexy lure of the turbo, but I can't say I can rationalize this decesion on this car - wll at least not on my car. Don't get me wrong - more power is almost always a plus, but for the kind of money you guys are talking about why wouldn't you just get the 335, throw a few $'s as suspenion, exhaust and a tune you could be making gobs of power. I mean I love my car, but the 335 aint that bad if all you want is gobs of power. And why TT, why not just a single turbo that spools quick and gives 5-8 lbs of boost? What's the point of a TT on the street. I've had 450+ hp engines - that's a lot of freakn' hp for an everyday driver! Yall are talking 500, 600 hp.! Unless your tracking the car, again, whats the point? Hey, It's your car and if TT'ing the car is your thing go for it, but 15-20K just seems crazy to me, but hey, I don't have that kind of cash floating around so maybe that's why I think that way.

Go for it - just document the build so we can learn - good luck.

The 5AT will need a shift kit and trans cooler minimum. On boost, the stock trans takes too long to go from one gear to the next (and that's with only 466 WHp). This heats the fluid up which will lead to failure.

Nope. Still smokin'. They better get a handle on it soon. I'm starting to feel like fireboy being separated from his car!

Here's my opinion ...
They have sold almost a dozen kits from what I am told. That's 24 turbos among HR and VHR motors. All HR and VHR kits are pretty much the same, but mine is the only one that smokes. To me, it sounds like a component problem (turbo oil seal).

They are getting FI to make up a by pass for their cross over muffler so they can isolate which side is smoking. They are also experimenting with an oil catch can and vacuum lines while they are waiting.

Engine and tranny are both fine. I've been itching to see what the new shift kit can do.

Interesting... Pretty crappy though... So how much more down-time? I'm anxious to see the car once it's all finished up...
