Heavy trucks transmission repairs are much more expensive than ours, they don't want to damage the equipment they make a living with any more than we want to hurt our beloved cars. Why is it worse for a G37? Curious...
Some reasons off the top of my head...

Trucks that are carrying incredibly heavy load will need that elimination of shifting time to accelerate from a standstill/low speed.

Perhaps the very transmission is geared more optimally for clutchless shifting. Having 9+ gears means incredibly close gear ratios, which adds to the ease/usefulness of clutchless shifting

I'd say it's probably more likely that a truck transmission is built with harder metals, tougher syncros, different gear spacing, different shifter linkage, looser tolerances, etc.

Basically just that a semi transmission is built to handle the stress of clutchless shifting. Your G37 6spd on the other hand, is most definitely not.
