Exclamation Acceleration change

Anybody notice a difference of less acceleration in there G37s 6mt? It seems not to be as fast or what I expect it too accelerate as of latley like when I drop it in 3rd or 4th gear I floor the gas and seems to take its time but then again Ive always been kind to my G and shifting around 3k-4k RPMs anyways maybe Im not used to noticing how it lags when I rev it high and shift around 5k-6k RPMs It could be that I never really pushed it hard and Ive never noticed it before? I doubt there is a problem with VVEL or anything Im just curious to see if anyone has anything. I have under 14,000 miles on mine and once again never beat on it or drive it too hard.

The torque curve is linear so you wont really get that "jolt" of power that you may be looking for. You could have also gotten used to the feeling?

I kind of know what you mean though.

The VQ in my Z was all torque, 265 ft./lbs I think. My S has 43 more hp with only a tad more torque. With the 7-8k rpm redline, the engine feels more and more like a Honda in that you have to wind it up. You're still going fast, you just don't feel it as much.

Try an ECU reset since the ECU adjust to your driving style. Reset it and then drive it like you stole it and you should be getting more out of it. If you drive it conservatively it will drive like that always from what I've been told.

I feel your pain... I had a fully bolt up G35 6sp and was sad when the 37 felt so slow. I just installed headers and cats last week and she is much peppier than before. The throttle response is quicker but I can still feel a bit of lag. I also don't feel like a 300lb person hopped in the car when I turn on the A/C now.
